Ministry Function:
The Director-Regional Distribution Center (RDC)-West supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by overseeing the RDC-West functions, including daily operations, pastor networking and support, partner and potential partner visits, communications with World Distribution Center (WDC), assistance with projects and assuring that safety is a top priority for visitors and team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for oversight of the team members and daily operations of the RDC, including, but not limited to, team member supervision and assignments; opening and closing of the facility; managing all inbound and outbound loads; maintaining a safe and drug-free environment; ongoing communications with Headquarters; and assuring guests and team members are treated with kindness and respect.
  • Responsible for all functions including, but not limited to, transportation; inventory management; warehousing; fulfillment; shipping; facilities/maintenance; pastor/partner communications & support.
  • Primary contact for pastors at the RDC West, building relationships and providing education and resources for distributions to church events and programs.
  • Responsible for outbound distributions in the region to include churches, non-profits and other partner organizations.
  • Host & serve donor/partner relationships in collaboration with Convoy Nation, Development and Network teams to serve those relationships as needed.
  • Responsible to be the primary liaison for communication between the RDC and WDC including, but not limited to, procurement, transportation, inventory, distribution, fulfillment, shipping, Hands of Hope, donor & partner visits.
  • Primary contact with facilities and maintenance services contracted for RDC space and equipment.
  • Facilitate Hands of Hope set-up and teardown assuring inventory accuracy and reporting.
  • Follows general and equipment specific safety rules, making safety a top priority in all situations. Uses appropriate safety protection equipment and other safety devices.
  • On the field, as both a representative of Convoy of Hope and the partner ministries, provide regular devotional and prayer for Convoy of Hope workers and spiritual counseling.
  • Provide spiritual counseling to Convoy of Hope staff and volunteers.
  • Performs sacerdotal functions as requested by Convoy of Hope staff, volunteers, or others both at the Convoy of Hope offices and on the field.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ordained, licensed or commissioned minister with church ministry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years Leadership/Supervisory Experience required.
  • Forklift certification and ability to drive other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Current Commercial Driver’s License preferred; Class B license required.
  • Knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
  • Ability to positively contribute to team projects, cooperate with team members, and assist supervisors in planning and evaluation.
  • Ability to periodically lift in excess of 50 lbs. infrequently
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills are needed for effectively supervising team members.
  • Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  • Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position regularly supervises RDC staff and volunteers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
