Dispatch Supervisor Job at Legacy Supply Chain Company
Job Overview
Legacy Supply Chain is expanding our network and hiring a Dispatch Supervisor to support our dedicated distribution transportation operations in LaFayette, GA. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.
Schedule and Compensation
- 1st shift: Monday trough Friday; 7:00 am start time
- 3rd shift: Sunday though Thursday; 10:00 pm start time
Job Details
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates scheduling of vehicles and drivers for meeting overall transportation requirements.
- Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, and delivery locations.
- Develops routes for determining driver and equipment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all federal and state regulations, as well as company rules and policies.
- Compiles a variety of data for developing reports, information and mandated requirements.
- Create a positive work environment that is consistent with the Company’s values and objectives.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Three years of experience in transportation, supply chain or logistics environments.
- One year of experience dispatching local and regional drivers.
- CDL class A license is preferred.
- BA or BS preferred or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Experience and knowledge of DOT compliance.
- Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
