Driver Job at SFE - Southwest Foodservice Excellence
Southwest Food Sercive Excellence is in partnership with Mt. Pleasant Schools.
You will be delivering meals to all schools within the district.
Essential Driver Responsibilities
· Follow all traffic laws
· Drive defensively to ensure safety
· Keep the interior of the truck clean
· Make sure there is always enough fuel to get to the destination
· Keep accurate count of gas usage, miles, and other data
· Check vehicle in and out following department procedures
· Receive deliveries from suppliers
· Put away deliveries
· Perform tasks and duties as otherwise assigned
Preferred Driver Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED equivalent
· Valid state chauffeur’s license
· Current DOT physical
· Have been driving for at least 5 years
· Great time management skills
· Attentiveness to detail
· Ability to operate a vehicle for up to 8 hours
· Physically able to lift 50 pounds
· Great organizational skills
The best candidates will have
· Food service experience with high volume kitchens
· A great attitude
· Comfort working in a complex team environment
· The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.25 per hour
