As a member of the Zero-G Horizons team, you will create the technologies and unmanned systems that enable humanity's future infrastructure and capabilities.
You will engage with our team of engineers to design, develop, and test autonomous UxS in diverse deployment environments, from Space, Deep-Sea, to Aerial.
You will leverage leading simulation and design tools to conceptualize, analyze, and refine UxS in support of on-going efforts with various government agencies, from NASA, the DoD, and NOAA.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test electrical circuits for UxS and Ground Stations, and Power Generation, and Power Delivery Systems.
- Hardware implementation of sensors and controllers to enable autonomy
- Interface with robotics and mechanical engineers to develop systems
- Support system testing of autonomous platforms
Required Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience with hardware for power management, analog filtering/logic, and integrated circuit development.
- Clear and proficient circuit diagraming and analysis skills.
- Proven hands-on experience with low- and high-powered unmanned aerial/underwater vehicles, or other UxS.
- Ability to code, integrate, and test hardware (e.g., actuators, sensors, controllers) to performance specifications.
- Ability to effectively work, adapt, and communicate on a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team.
- Focused results-driven engineer passionate about robotics, automation, and/or unmanned systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine vision, SLAM, and other navigation/perception methods for UxS.
- Experience with ROS.
- Experience working within Ubuntu, and other Linux-based OS.
- Experience with robotic simulation software (e.g., Gazebo).
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for controls development and implementation.
Education:
- B.S. with 2 years hands-on practical/project experience.
- M.S. with 1 year hands-on practical/project experience.
- Ph.D. with 1 year hands-on practical/project experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
