What you will do:
This position will support operations of the plant; instrumentation and electrical needs.
Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Responsible to Electrical Supervisor or Leadman for alteration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all electrical and instrument equipment. - Applying proper safety requirements to any/all jobs being done.
- Performing needed clean-up to keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, orderly, and safe.
- Committed to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S+0 = CxPS.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical and instrument practices including application of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic principles.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Understand AC single-phase and three-phase systems and DC solid-state drives and motor-generator sets. Must understand principles of motor operation.
- Skilled in both electrical and instrument control principles.
- Ability to read and work from electrical and instrument drawings, blueprints, and manufacturers’ specifications.
- Ability to properly install and maintain all necessary fittings, devices, and instruments required for pneumatic and electronic instrumentation. This includes measuring and testing equipment used in troubleshooting these systems.
- Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC-5 programmable controller, control logix and the FLS control system.
- Must have good written and oral communications and interpersonal skills.
- Journeyman Certification Preferred
