The LFS Group is looking for an Electrician!

The LFS Group is looking for Electricians to work in a commercial environment handling the various duties that go along with commercial electrical work. Electricians will be responsible for installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures and various circuits throughout the site. The ability to bend conduit, install a transformer, follow blueprints/technical diagrams and of course always follow the NEC is essential. Electricians may also need to run some low voltage cables if needed on site.

Electricians should always keep safety in mind as a top priority and have at least five (5) years of electrical experience. We have long-term work available for the right candidate in a variety of positions. Applicants should have commercial electrical experience and access to reliable transportation. The ideal candidate can work with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with the construction/electrical industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.

Shift:

• 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities for Electrician:

o Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and equipment based on job specifications and local codes

o Connect wires to electrical components as needed for a complete and operational system.

o Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring or equipment using testing devices, such as ohmmeters or voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

o Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as ammeters.

o Place conduit, pipes, or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes

o Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment Responsible for personal and team safety on jobs.

o Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring or equipment using hand tools or power tools

Laborer Skills & Requirements for Electrician:

o Prior experience and/or training in the electrical field

o Prior experience testing equipment to include multi-meters and digital analyzers

o Basic understanding of mechanical systems: what they do and how they operate

o Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals

o Basic understanding of Programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, automation controls

o Basic understanding of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems including the various components and processes It would be good if this applicant had basic hand tools and power tools such as a drill. All other tools will be provided

o U.S. citizen or proof of legal residency

o Valid Driver’s License

o High school diploma/GED preferred

o Physical ability to do the work typical of a construction project

o Five (5)+ years’ experience as an electrician in the industry

o Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures

PLEASE NOTE: We only use electronic timesheets to record hours worked and a smartphone with a data plan is required for each employee to utilize our App, send messages and answer any checkout questions required before clocking out at the end of the shift.
