The Employee Benefits Account Executive/Account Manager works in conjunction with producers/agents and clients on all aspects of group health and ancillary benefit account placement and management. This is a senior level position with the opportunity to start a long and rewarding career with a growing independent insurance agency. After an initial introductory period in our Westminster, Colorado, we offer a hybrid remote work model.
Primary Duties:
- Promote and uphold the Company Core Values
- Provide Support to Account Managers and Agents/Producers
- Provide support to prospective and current clients
- Work with carriers to gather appropriate documentation for distribution and retention
- Assist with open enrollment and renewing policies
- Following agency guidelines for updating Agency Management System (Epic), Benefits Administration Software (EASE), and Benefits Designer Program(Applied Benefits Designer)
Tasks associated with Primary Duties:
1- Promote and uphold the Company Core Values
- Become familiar with agency Core Values, Core Focus, Target Market, Our Three Uniques, Proven Process, and Guarantee
- Incorporate company culture with all clients and co-workers
- Upon request, assist with developing process and procedures for agency operations
- Upon request, assist with training new hires or existing team members
2- Provide Support to Agents/Producers
- Run quotes for all lines requested by agent or client
- Create Employee Enrollment Presentations
- Order Employee Enrollment Kits
- Other items as assigned by Producers
3- Provide support to prospective and current clients
- Collect employer and employee applications from client
- Scrub employer and employee application
- Gather missing information
- Handle miscellaneous requests from clients, provide information as needed
4- Work with carriers to gather appropriate documentation for distribution and retention
- Submit documents to various Carriers
- Process adds and terms with carriers or oversee delegation to Benefits Specialist
5- Following agency guidelines for updating Agency Management System (Epic) and Benefits Administration Software (EASE)
- Create and maintain client in Agency Management System and Online Enrollment System
- Ensure activities are created and completed in AMS
- Ensure all documents are attached in AMS
Performance Expectations:
- Efficient and accurate documentation in EPIC
- Follow established agency process and procedures
- Follow customer service standards as per agency guidelines
- Keep up to date on activities and tasks in Epic – no more than 5 past due activities at any given time
- Fulfill state(s) continuing education requirement and keep insurance license current
- Ensure that a backup team member is trained and in place to handle daily tasks when you are not available
Additional skills, qualifications, education and/or experience required for success at our agency:
- Colorado Life and Health Insurance License (Required)
- 5+ years of employee benefits insurance experience
- Fast learner with acute attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Anticipates well and effectively manages time
- Familiarity with paperless office concept
- A positive and professional attitude
- Collaborates with others in teams. Promotes cooperation and shared successes throughout the company
- Shares ideas for improvement
- Clear and accurate communicator with verbal and written communication
- Displays an eagerness to learn and grow professionally
- High School Diploma/GED (required)
- Experience with EASE, Applied Epic and Applied Benefits Designer a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
