Primary Function:
Out client is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the Electrical and Controls Test team. As an engineer for this team, you will participate in supporting a wide variety of research and development activities across multiple functional groups
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
Develop, design, release, and follow up development activities to ensure that the engineering outputs meet the quality, reliability, performance, and cost expectations of the customer, for the following systems:
- Electric Vehicle Performance Development and Validation
Internal Combustion Vehicle Development and Validation
On-Board Systems Development and Validation
Electrical Components
Vehicle Networks
- Software Validation
- Collaborate and provide support to the Manufacturing, Sourcing, Marketing, and Aftermarket groups engaged in the project.
- Support development testing to ensure design robustness to requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans (DVP&R, validation, etc.) for complete vehicle, system, and components
- Analyze data and communicate test results both verbally and through written reports
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)
Minimum Qualifications Engineer I:
- Formal education with a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with control system focus.
- Basic knowledge/skill in Electrical circuits
- Basic knowledge/skill in controls theory
- Basic knowledge/skill in electric motor drive theory
Minimum Qualifications Engineer II:
- Formal education with a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with control system focus.
- Two years relevant experience
- Specialized knowledge/skill in Electrical circuits
- Specialized knowledge/skill in controls theory
- Specialized knowledge/skill in electric motor drive theory
- Minimum of one year related industry experience
Minimum Qualifications Engineer III:
- Formal education with a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with control system focus.
- 3 years relevant experience
- Specialized knowledge/skill in Electrical circuits
- Specialized knowledge/skill in controls theory
- Specialized knowledge/skill in electric motor drive theory
- Minimum of two years related industry experience
Desirable skills/experience (not required):
- Vehicle networking (CAN), 3-phase electric motor tuning, electric vehicle battery management, Li-ion batteries, Vector CANanalyzer, automotive technology
Additional Qualifications:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Quality: Follow established procedures and be attentive to details to ensure accuracy in design and documentation.
