MBS Solutions has the immediate need of an Engineering Technician on 1st Shift, in the North York/ Manchester, PA area.

JOB TITLE - Prototype Engineering Technician

INDUSTRY Manufacturing; Quality Thermal Solutions

PAY RATE - $19-25/hr DOE

LOCATION:
North York/ Emigsville/ Lewisberry, PA Area

SHIFT:

• 1st shift- 6AM-4:30PM | Mon-Thurs (4/10 hr day's)

**Potential for OT on Fridays, as required. **.

3 MOST IMPORTANT THINGS SEEKING:

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use tools, materials, etc. to fabricate prototypes and inspection tools as required to assist engineering team.
• Seeking candidates with experience in Industrial HVAC equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting highly preferred.
• Reliability, integrity, flexibility, with the focus and willingness to learn and grow.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Prototype Engineering Technician will be responsible for the planning, assembly, and troubleshooting of first time builds and low volume production orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES | REQUIREMENTS: (Includes but not limited to the following)-

• The Prototype Engineering Technician collaborates with engineering personnel to successfully build new products that satisfy customer requirements while determining the best assembly sequence to support future production.
• Working with engineers to develop and test prototypes of new products as well as with other technicians, etc. to build, test, and maintain prototypes
• High school diploma or GED required
• Certificate from a technical school or a minimum of 1 year of related experience
• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and other technical documentation
• Brazing experience
• Must be dedicated to performing quality work and strongly detail oriented
• Ability to stay flexible and easily redirect efforts in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on fabrication and troubleshooting of assembly processes and test stands
• Ability to contribute to problem-solving for product and prototype manufacturing
• May be asked to run tests, record data, collect materials, or fix parts.
• Maintaining accurate records of work activities and results; Completes any necessary paperwork or documentation.
• Perform any related functions as required, and or tasks as requested by Supervisors, Engineers, etc. accordingly.
• Follow all company rules and policies.

PREFERENCES:

• Industrial HVAC equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting experience highly desirable
• EPA Section 608 Certificate (minimum 1 & 2 level)
• Welding experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The employee will be required to walk, stand, and sit frequently
• The employees' work requires fine manipulation frequently.
• The employee will lift up to 50lbs, occasionally.
• The vision requirements include both close and far vision.
