Qualifications
- The individual must be able to demonstrate proficiency in gearbox rebuilding, equipment alignment, welding and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
- Must have problem solving skills and technical mechanical aptitude
- Teachable attitude and ability to learn on the job in a fast-paced environment
- Must be self-motivated
- Able to work alone or with others as needed
- Demonstrated continuous improvement and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces and lifting at least 50 lbs
- Willing and able to be on call and work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends _(overtime available)_
- Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment
- Knowledge of quality concepts and methods
- Safety Oriented - Proficient in Lockout/Tagout
Responsibilities
- The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all industrial equipment at the plant site
- Extensive belt conveyor experience (i.e. maintaining conveyors, replacing rollers and belts, tracking and aligning belts properly) a must
- Also includes installing/repairing mechanical equipment, fabricating and welding
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs and maintenance on parts of equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic repairs
- Repair production line equipment including conveyor belts, and shredding equipment
- May perform or assist in the installation of machinery and equipment
- Cut and welding, including light steel fabrication
- Performs maintenance duties or other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
