Position Overview:
As a senior member of the Transportation Electrification team, the successful candidate is responsible for managing the EV Implementation team that supports Edison Energy’s client portfolios of electric vehicle infrastructure projects. This role supports the three facets of the EV Implementation team: program management, EV infrastructure design, and construction management groups. Key to this role will be ensuring smooth delivery of projects via the day-to-day management of client portfolios and managing a team of talented EV infrastructure professionals.
This role will align closely with the Business Development and EV Strategy and Advisory teams to ensure that client proposals and contracts are properly structured and executed such that the EV Implementation team can deliver successful projects with high levels of client satisfaction. The successful candidate will ensure safety protocols and safe work practices are employed for all team members, both based in the remote office and in the field.
Essential Functions
External EV implementation (40%):
- Prepare client contracts and addenda, coordinate with legal team as necessary
- Supervise client invoicing and contract management
- Solicit client feedback and manage client expectations
- Attend jobsite meetings and field surveys as required
- Source and vet external engineering and construction resources
- Prepare subcontractor contracts and addenda, coordinate with legal team as necessary
- Oversee development and delivery of client deliverables
- Attend client meetings and support client communications
- Develop and employ safety plans for remote office and field staff
Cross-Functional Program Management (40%):
- Support internal and external resources necessary to implement projects
- Supervise database development and ongoing management
- Ensure new business proposals have clear parameters
- Coordinate with Business Development team for resource planning and forecasting
- Participate in Business Development activities as required
- Identify and remove roadblocks for team members
- Prepare staffing and resource forecasts
EV Implementation Team Management (20%):
- Manage and support the team that is leading client portfolio program management and project design
- Develop resource plans for current and forecasted workload – utilize external and shared resources for unplanned short-term workload expansions
- Coach and mentor team members while supporting HR activities for the team
- Actively recruit and develop talented team members
- Assign team members to projects, based on workload, skillsets, etc.
- Identify and remove roadblocks for team members
Desired Background:
- 7+ years of relevant experience within the clean energy sector or demonstrated passion for transportation electrification or clean energy transition.
- Degree in engineering, project management, or combination of relevant leadership experience
- Direct experience with implementing EV or DER projects a plus
- Experience in a client facing and staff leadership role
- Leadership experience in program or project design and delivery
- Proven history managing high performing technical staff
- A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives
- Interest in an entrepreneurial opportunity associated with developing and growing TE consulting offerings, including a desire to actively participate in strategic growth planning and people development
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a cross-disciplinary audience, both in writing and in presentation skills
- Comfortable in client facing role, strong leadership skills with the ability to shift between program management staff and technical staff
- Outstanding attention to detail while managing multiple client portfolios with competing timelines
- Understanding of contracting principles and contract management, procurement activity knowledge a plus
- Travel may be expected up to 35% of the time

The listed salary range listed represents Edison Energy’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to geographic location and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range stated above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
Edison Energy reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
