Job Summary

The Executive Director/Sales & Marketing Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of a facility under contract management. Responsibilities include: hiring, scheduling, orientation, evaluation of all employees assigned to the facility, resident admission, relationships with residents and their families and/or responsible resident representatives, adherence to annual budget, community relations, relations with facility ownership, and relations with all other appropriate state and county Department of Social Services representatives. All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner consistent with the assisted living philosophy of Ashford Martin Corporation.

Tasks

  • Assure the provisions of high quality services needed or desired by residents.
  • Assure that residents receive appropriate levels of assistance with activities of daily living and clinical services offered by the facility.
  • Maintain relationships between the residence and the resident’s families and/or other individuals responsible for the general well-being of the resident.
  • Coordinate marketing and resident activities.
  • Establish means providing residents with the capability of purchasing food, supplies, and the necessary clinical items.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with existing and potential referral sources, including: hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, physicians, and the general public.
  • Maintain effective marketing, advertising, public education programs concerning the capabilities and services offered by the facility.
  • Create and maintain relationships with significant community organizations and agencies.
  • Attain and/or maintain ongoing compliance with appropriate state, local, federal, regulatory, and/or accrediting body standards. Prepares to meet all standards and requirements through regular internal audit, updating of programs and operating policies and procedures, including medical records documentation and environmental standards.
  • Establish and maintain the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Implement selection, orientation, in-service, scheduling, and evaluation of all team members employed at the facility.
  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate work activities of all personnel at the residence, including contracted team members and volunteers.
  • Promote teambuilding of team members and of leadership initiatives at regular corporate and facility team meetings.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required: a diploma from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and presentable personal vehicle.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must present a professional demeanor both in the residence and the community.
  • Knowledge and five years working experience in the healthcare industry is required.
