Verde Canyon Railroad in Clarkdale, AZ is seeking a Facilities and Grounds Crew Member to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working. As a Facilities and Grounds Crew Member, you will ensure that all grounds and buildings are in a clean and inviting manner, create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests, and maintain a safe environment for passengers.

Wage: $16-18 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all grounds and buildings are clean and inviting for guests
• Create a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment for our guests
• Maintain a safe environment for passengers
• Repair and maintain grounds, buildings, and related equipment

Requirements:

• Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated
• Ability to think through problems and stressful situations
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, irrigation systems, landscaping, painting, and construction required
• Must be willing to learn to operate in a safe and efficient manner, all equipment and tools associated with maintenance
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Able to work varied hours, weekends and holidays, based on train operating schedule
• Have transportation to and from work
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Possess a valid driver’s license
