Looking for experienced construction technician (2-3 years minimum experience) to work with a general contracting company responsible for the efficient operations, upkeep, and repair of various commercial buildings along the Wasatch Front. This position would work in a supportive role under the direction of supervisory personnel and will be responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the properties, the preparation of vacant units for occupancy and the completion of other construction tasks on various construction projects. This position will also be responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the company.

This position will entail working on projects alongside the current project manager, managing smaller residential, commercial projects and managing other employees. Some projects will require hands-on work in various areas of construction. During the winter months be a part of the largest snow fleet in Utah. This position will also manage snow plowing operations on several large commercial properties as well. Varying hours of operation may occur in the winter due to snowstorm forecasts.

Field Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Construction Experience with a construction company (2-3 years preferred)

Field Maintenance Technician Requirements

• Have a working knowledge of basic maintenance skills
• Framing, carpentry, sheetrock, and concrete experience a must
• Strong work ethic and an ability to think creatively and solve problems
• Must be comfortable working with new people and be able to communicate clearly and professionally
• Experience in troubleshooting standard electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems
• Must be able to participate in Snow Removal operations in the winter months
• Must be able to work on site, off site, outdoors and climb stairs throughout course of day
• Must be able to work on call on a rotating shift in the snow season
• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Must have a working knowledge of most facets of construction and working experience in sheetrock, framing, and painting is preferred.
• Basic construction tools are required for this position.
• Must pass be willing to participate in random drug testing, if selected.
