We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team at our Pompono Beach branch and support our customers. Our Pompono Beach branch is located at 1800 N Powerline Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33069.
The Field Service Technician provides both pre-sale support, post-sale support, and training to customers and employees. This role performs cross- functionally with other sales and support employees. Additionally, this role conducts product and employee training as needed and provides technical services during on-site visits and manages all installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks.
What you will be doing:
· Providing customer support and technical services during the field visits
· Diagnosing technical problems/errors and determining proper solutions
· Managing on-site activities such as installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks
· Comprehending the requirements of customers and making appropriate briefings or recommendations
· Building long-term relations with customers
· Conducts personal interactions with customers representative of a company with strong, ethical standards.
· Supports valued business relationships in all dealings with related departments aiming to resolve customer and other issues in a timely manner. Approaches peers and customers with a spirit of positive problem resolution.
Additional Responsibilities
· Prepares for and conducts new product training as needed.
· Works with assigned manager in developing course agendas, curriculum, and comprehensive training testing as needed.
· Provides day-to-day technical support of dealers via phone and / or onsite assistance as required.
· As directed, communicates service bulletins and alerts to dealers on a timely basis.
· Provides product performance investigation and reports of quality and / or First Notice events.
· Provides call reports detailing customer interaction.
· Communicates suggested parts stocking and changes to the purchasing department.
· Attends seminars and vendor training as required.
Preferred Job Requirements
· 5 or more years’ experience with HVAC and related functions.
· 2-year HVAC degree or certificate
· Prior experience as a Field Service Technician
· Experience with troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment
· Experience with field automation systems, remote applications, and mobile tools
· Bilingual - Spanish
Minimum Job Requirements
· High School diploma or its GED equivalent
· 2 or more years’ experience with HVAC and related functions.
· Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
· Use computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems and meeting and virtual platform sharing relative to the needs of the job.
· Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
