Pay Range – Depending on Qualifications:

• Hourly rate - $23.51 to $28.94 – Entry Level
• Hourly rate - $27.73 to $33.40 – Level 2 – with NICET and ICC Certifications

Fire Protection Consultant - Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Perform plan reviews of fire alarm, automatic fire sprinkler, and special fire protection systems for compliance with codes and standards
• Witness testing and perform inspections for fire alarm, automatic fire sprinkler, and special fire protection systems
• Maintain professional, timely communication with clients and customers
• Participate independently in client contact (attend meetings, accomplish both oral and written communications)
• Ability to provide high level of customer service, manage multiple priorities, demonstrate attention to detail, and meet deadlines
• Attain various certifications and participate in continuing education

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Classes in related degree program preferred
• College degree preferred

Experience Preferred:

• The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of experience performing fire protection plan review and inspections, installation or design of fire alarm, automatic fire sprinkler, or special fire protection systems and knowledge of NFPA and ICC codes. ICC or NFPA Fire Inspector and/or Plans Examiner certification
• NICET certification in fire protection (Sprinkler / Fire Alarm / Special Systems)
• Knowledge of MS Office with Word, Excel, and Outlook

Physical Ability:

• Ability to climb ladders and be raised in lifts to inspect fire protection system equipment located near ceilings.
• Ability to crawl on hands and knees to access low headroom spaces.
• Ability to walk for long periods of time and to climb multiple flights of stairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.51 - $33.40 per hour
