Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor
Job Summary
To supervise and coordinate activities of F & B outlet and staff to provide fast and courteous service to guests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for guests.
- Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
- Adjusts complaints of guests.
- Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of outlet staff to ensure prompt and courteous service to guests.
- Inspects outlet serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions table linens and other outlet
supplies for tables and serving stations. - May interview, outlet candidates, train outlet staff, schedule work hours and keep time records of outlet workers.
- May assist in planning menus, prepare beverages and expedite food orders.
- May collect payment from guests and total receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clear cash register.
- Rewards associates who use their empowerment to meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Conducts daily pre-shift meetings
- Assist F&B Leadership in training, delivering on-going job performance feedback and development to ensure brand standards and guest satisfaction goals are met
- Utilizes all tools for running shift
- Performs opening and closing duties in accordance with supervisor checklist
- Properly execute revenue and check control procedures on shift
- Maintain outlet scheduling and time and attendance
- Receive, verify and put away incoming stock, as requested
- Prepare work station/area for next meal period, as needed
- Must wear proper uniform, including a nametag, at all times in accordance with the standards of appearance
- Handle cash, guestroom charges and credit cards as required by Hotel's standard operating procedures
- Speak clearly.
- Use judgment and reasoning to cope with emergencies, such as sudden illness, accident, or interrupted
service. - Perform a variety of activities, changing activities often and sometimes without notice.
Job Qualifications: - Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Previous experience supervising F&B Restaurant in Hotel environment highly desired
Licenses/Certifications: TIPS Certification and Food Safety Certification
Physical Requirements and working conditions:- Ability to speak and hear in English.
- close and distance vision
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Stand for long periods of time
- Walk extended distances
- Lift/carry 6-25 lbs.
- Able to work overtime and irregular hours to include Holidays, Nights, and Weekends.
