Job Summary:

This position is split into two functions. The responsibility of the Food Runner is to deliver food from the expeditor to the proper table and ensure the guest have everything they need to enjoy their meal. Once the guest has finished their meal, the responsibility of the Busser is to ensure the guest receives a positive end to their dining experience. This is done by pre-bussing, removing all trash from the table as well as cleaning the table and surrounding area to ensure the space is ready for the next guest.

• Proper cleaning of the tabletop, under the table, table legs, chairs, benches, and all other areas included in the dining space.
• Follows all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook and duties that pertain to the Food Runner/Busser role
• Maintains a positive attendance record
• Follows all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company
• Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the Employee Handbook
• Maintains outstanding guest service standards
• Knows all menu items offered at the restaurant. Accurately explains specials to guests. If asked, accurately answers menu items regarding preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items accompanying the dish. If asked, specifies substitutions for items on the menu
• Performs side work correctly as specific to the Food Runner/Busser role
• Follows all end-of-shift checkout procedures
• Maintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need and/or when available

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in length
• Must possess manual ability to handle/serve food
• Must be able to read and communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers, management, and guests
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds
• Capable of working in extreme hot or cold environments
• Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length
• Must be efficient and accurate with money and figures
• Maybe exposed to disagreeable odors, chemicals, and noise, latex plastics, and other materials used for protective equipment

The pay for this position is $7.50 per hour + tips.
