Job Summary/Overview of the Position
Bulk container ("Dumpster") collection represents the main commercial Solid Waste service provided by the City. Employee is responsible for safely operating the equipment and planning and maintaining the route layout and schedule, service changes and equipment status reports. Employee is required to work diligently at job assignments and maintain a good safety and attendance record. Essential Job Functions
Application of technical skills and diligence in the safe and efficient operation of a frontloader bulk container collection truck.
Organizes schedules and collection routes.
Identifies and reports repair needs of assigned vehicles and containers.
Works special shift to accommodate work load demand, level of service or job efficiency.
Investigates and answers complaints as directed by supervisor and through established
reporting system.
Performs daily, weekly and other periodic equipment checks, and performs operator
maintenance as appropriate. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - PHYSICAL SKILLS: Especially important to complete for positions that involve physical
labor on a regular basis.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or equivalent.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Possession of a valid Florida Driver
License, class "B" and possession and maintenance of a driving record which meets or exceeds minimum
