Job Summary and Opportunity:
Participates in the development and direction of the overall Compliance and Lending Quality Control Program for all banking and credit products, appropriate regulations, rules and regulatory guidance
Responsibilities:
Compliance Programs
  • Participates in the development and direction of the overall Compliance and Lending Quality Control Program for all banking and credit products, appropriate regulations, rules and regulatory guidance
  • Oversees and develops initiatives of the Compliance Management System Program to include compliance reviews, loan level documentation, transactional testing on lending and deposit products, risk assessments, issue management, complaint management, data driven compliance & third party service provider monitoring, regulatory change management, and data driven compliance
  • Responsibilities also include oversight of the HMDA, CRA, Fair Lending, Complaint, Policy Administration and Compliance Training Programs
  • Develop and/or own Management Directives and Policies for submission to Management/Board Committees. Serve as Compliance Coordinator providing guidance aligned with Policy requirements. Provide oversight of the program as applicable. Compliance Management Committee Member. Support initiatives for Management Accountability & Global Strategic Initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
Planning & Development
  • Development and refinement of activities to enhance the Bank's compliance and quality control program
Analyzing
  • Analyzes, summarizes and communicates current regulatory and organizational compliance developments to Senior/Executive Leadership and coordinates with other team member efforts to ensure policies, procedures, forms and training meet all new and amended requirements and deadlines
  • Analyzes and communicates compliance requirements for new or revised products, services, systems to Business Units. Consults with legal counsel, regulatory agencies, vendors and compliance organizations, as needed
Indirect Management
  • Indirectly manages the compliance efforts within the various business lines by partnering with the business unit managers to ensure appropriate resources are directed to compliance issues
  • Supports Bank's efforts on all corporate compliance audits and Agency compliance examinations, including advance preparation, coordination of all information gathering between business units during the audit/exam and remediation actions
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' in banking/mortgage banking/audit/regulatory compliance
  • Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Vizio, PowerPoint), and network environments
  • Ability to work independently, being flexible, working on multiple projects which may require restructuring due to shifting demands and changing priorities within a multi-billion dollar bank
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Team collaboration and adaptability to change

A targeted annual base salary of USD $113,000/Yr. - USD $118,000/Yr, based on the experience, skills, and education/certification required for this position. Eligibility for a discretionary semi-annual incentive compensation plan, based upon performance, payable in cash and/or share grants (RSU’s) that may vest over time. The annual discretionary target bonus percentage is 20%.
