Description:

Our Houston based management team is looking for a US Geosteering & Business Development Manager to support its growing client base that is operating in the continental United States (Lower 48). This role requires expertise in onshore drilling environments.


Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Position Specific:


  • Maintain & strengthen existing client accounts and pursue a full spectrum of business opportunities for the continental US and international drilling markets


  • Market the full suite of RPS services to potential clients


  • High competence and aptitude in Remote Geosteering operations with high proficiency in ROGII’s StarSteer software (or similar) with working knowledge of pre-drill data downloads, real-time drilling interpretations in various conventional & unconventional plays, and post-drill summary presentations to clients


  • Managing Geosteering and other appropriate training of Field Associates in the Houston office to eliminate or minimize any third party training costs


  • Assisting the Operations Managers with day-to-day business and drilling operations including his/her personal client accounts


  • Provide technical support for Field Associates and clients based on 10+ years previous domestic & international field experience


  • 5+ years working for an E&P company or wellsite/mudlogging firm in an office supervisor role would be beneficial


  • Team player and proactive attitude with ability to shift priorities quickly when needed


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geology or applicable discipline of Engineering from a recognized institution


  • Based in Houston or Midland and may require some occasional travel

  • Immediately stops work if it is not safe to continue.


  • Participates in incident investigations as required, ensuring identified corrective actions are tracked and completed.
