Lead Installer Technical Job Description
A technician possessing the title of Lead Installer is responsible for the entire electrical installation of the generator.
- A lead installer is Generac certified (or willing to do the requirements for certification) and should be competent in all tasks related to the electrical installation including but not limited to:
- Installing the transfer switch
- Isolating grounds
- Placing the generator
- Wiring to the generator
- Load management devices
- Starting of the Generator
- A lead Installer is responsible for his Assistants
- Keep assistants on task
- Test/verify their work
- A lead installer is the face of McCay Southern
- His work is done with excellence and efficiency.
He keeps a clean worksite during the installation process.He knows how to communicate with the customer in a clear and professional manner.He knows how to upsell items related to the generator.
- A lead installer plans ahead
- A plan for install was thought about prior to the day of installation
- Inventory is kept full on the install vehicle
- Any specialized material was brought up with their supervisor before the installation day.
- He makes plans to arrive early on occasions where the install is far away
- The proper items from the customer specific material list are gathered and loaded on the installation vehicle prior to leaving for the installation.
- A lead installer keeps a company mindset He looks after company property and material.
- Keeps inventory up to date
- Is not wasteful with material
- Keeps vehicles clean and does routine checks on fluids, tire pressure, etc.
- Spends slow time at the shop cleaning, organizing, preparing for the days ahead, etc.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
