GIS Specialist (Telecommunications) Job at TEKsystems
Job Description
A top service provider of TEKsystems is looking for an experienced GIS Specialist to help digitize fiber optic pathways for the greater Boston, MA market. These are long term contracts with NO end date, conversion is very possible around a year. The ideal candidate would be very versatile is ARC Maps and ARC FM. Also, this client wants someone whos done this work from another service provider, utilities, or telecommunications company. Candidates with these experiences with stand out much more than others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to read CAD drawing prints.
- Have experience with reviewing fiber and coax network as-built documentation from the local team for accuracy of data.
- Digitize data accumulated from as-built documentation into the company's GIS systems.
- Have experience with working with GIS software which includes ESRI ArcMap and Schneider Electric ArcFM. Its similar to AutoCAD so if they are proficient with that platform he would want to take a look at his/her profile
