Amazon Health Service’s (“AHS”) Compliance team is seeking a Government Programs Compliance Manager responsible for executing on the day-to-day operations of Amazon Health’s Government Programs Compliance pillar, supporting Amazon Pharmacy (“AP”). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring pharmacy revenue integrity and assessing any potential overpayment matters by working cross-functionally with stakeholder teams (e.g. Data Analytics, Finance, Legal, Operations, etc) and collaborating on corrective and preventive action plans. This role will be innovative and maintain a high bar of compliance and operational excellence as we rapidly grow, scale, and innovate and ultimately make AP the most customer-centric pharmacy on Earth. The AHS Compliance team has the unique ability to see broadly across the organization and make a significant impact to ensure compliance measures are implemented and communicated timely to all impacted stakeholders, and the Compliance team is growing rapidly along with the business.
Key job responsibilities
- Maintain and deliver an effective potential overpayments process to ensure pharmacy revenue integrity
- Review and report the status of potential overpayment matters to the Sr Mgr. Government Programs Compliance, AP Compliance Officer, and AHS Chief Compliance Officer
- Ensure adherence to timelines are met, escalating when appropriate
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships by attending business meetings, job shadowing to learn more about the people, systems and processes of each area, and establish a regular frequency of meeting to discuss potential overpayment matters
- Serve as a resource and compliance subject matter expert related to submitting claims to government healthcare programs

- Work with cross functional stakeholders to drive end-to-end completion of compliance initiatives and goals
- Influence without authority to ensure potential overpayment matters are prioritized
- Collaborate on developing corrective and preventive action plans
- Educate stakeholder teams on processes for potential overpayment escalations

- Advanced degree (PharmD, MBA, JD, etc.)
- CHC Certification
- Knowledgeable in the practice of pharmacy and/or healthcare
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience with data analytics
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results
- Comfortable running meetings with stakeholders
- Aptitude for building strong working relationships
- Self-motivated and able to deliver independently
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
