Reporting to: VP of Global Marketing

Main Purpose: The Head of Public & Media Relations is responsible for leading Taoglas' global public and media relations strategies and plans to identify and promote key initiatives and Taoglas' brand reputation across traditional and digital marketing communication platforms.

In this role, you will be tasked with building the overall roadmap to direct a wide range of global public and media relations activities, such as case studies or campaigns, while partnering with internal and external resources in North America, EMEA, and APAC regions to develop and execute initiatives and content that address the business’s corporate strategy.

  • Champion communication best practices and trends, including the use of social media and digital platforms to enhance public and media relations and internal collaboration
  • Lead global public and media relations activities, including fielding incoming press calls, providing requested information and proactively pitching story ideas to media contacts
  • Maintain relationships with international PR and media vendors and agencies
  • Establish and implement strategic communication plans with on-time execution
  • Identify paid advertising opportunities on social media, publications, webinars, etc.
  • Plan, prepare, and distribute original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization
  • Interview sales, customers, channel and suppliers to create success stories, case studies and joint press releases that properly represent the engagement and value add
  • Oversee and produce, from concept to completion, digital and print promotional material for events, campaigns, corporative activities, and other initiatives that arise
  • Ensure materials and content present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand, developing templates and guidelines for use companywide
  • Advise management on strategic positioning of public and media relation activities
  • Arrange for multimedia and press coverage for special events worldwide

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field required.
  • Five years of experience in marketing, publications, or a related field required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong digital and social agency acumen with background partnering with intern

Classification:

Exempt (Salary)

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position will have no direct reports, however will be responsible for managing 3rd party agencies

The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to focus.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM TO 5:00 PM.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Up to 20% domestic and global travel is anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
