About the Role
The IT Help Desk Technician reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager at ACRT Services. This position will play a key role in managing IT related issues for internal and external ACRT customers nationwide. This position requires a high degree of organization and excellent attention to detail.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Assistance
- Respond to internal and external company requests for technical assistance in person, over the phone, and electronically
- Work with internal and external customers to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Technical Troubleshooting
- Work with internal and external customers to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Communicate effectively with personnel in order troubleshoot as a part of the problem-solving process
- System Information Managing
- Remain up-to-date with system information, changes, updates, and documentation
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
About You
Must haves:
- Education: Associates degree in Science (including IT), Math, or Business
- Experience: 1 year of previous customer service/customer relations experience
Nice to haves:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Experience: 2 years of experience in an IT support role & 1 or more years of experience with Windows Server (2012 & 2016), Active Directory, technical knowledge of IOS & MDM platforms, Office 365, and Microsoft Azure
Your Skills
- Experience in computer operating systems, Windows Desktop and Microsoft Office Suite Applications
- Basic understanding and knowledge of computer hardware and networking
- Hardware troubleshooting, repair, and setup (desktops, laptops, tablets, & cellphones)
- Experience in Windows Operating Systems including troubleshooting, installation, imaging, and networking
- Ability to communicate with equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues
- Antivirus installation and removal
- Printer troubleshooting and repair as well as familiarity with print, copy and fax operations
- Strong knowledge in password resets, voicemail setup, cell phone troubleshooting, updating documentation and software support
- Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Look-ups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and work independently as well as a team
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to exercise good judgement to make good business decisions

Where We Work
At ACRT Services we prefer in-person employee interaction and we rely on collaboration among groups to be successful and agile, which means we expect work in the office to continue as an important part of our company culture and a key to employee success. This position is a remote hybrid role, meaning employees will be required to come into the Stow, Ohio office on a weekly or as needed basis.
Standard office equipment will be provided to work in the office and at home – a dedicated space at home to work is also required. Uninterrupted home-based internet is a must in your home to attend and host video calls, along with a minimum bandwidth speed of 20 mbps. If you do not have an in home office space or cannot meet the internet needs, an office space will be provided for you in the company’s Stow, Ohio office.
