The Hey Day Market will be a vibrant addition to Auburn's culinary scene and a favorite gathering place for students, family and friends on South College Street. At the market, nine vendors will serve crowd-pleasing meals that are thoughtfully prepared onsite with sustainable, organic ingredients. One vendor stall will be a dedicated incubator where graduates of the Hospitality Management and Culinary Science programs can develop business concepts and get their operations off the ground. There will also be a quick service bar onsite, equipped with draft beer and cocktails, and will feature a selection of liquors and selected wine and beer offerings.

Duties:

The Hey Day Market Supervisor will ensure all Ithaka Hospitality standards for excellence are met and communicated properly from leadership to team members and from team members to guests.

The Hey Day Bar Supervisor will assist the Hey Day GM in overseeing and organizing the day-to-day operations of the Hey Day Bar, to ensure world class service, food & beverage offerings and to maximize profits and guest satisfaction through the following:

• 
  Ability to thoughtfully engage with all customers visiting Hey Day Market about the concept and partnership with Auburn University

• Have a comprehensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
• Ability to work and lead in a high pressure, fast paced bar environment and balance guest satisfaction, drink quality and drink timeliness.
• Work closely with the Hey Day GM and Assistant GM to ensure Hey Day Bar achieves a 98 or higher on all health scores.
• Ensure proper training plans and recipes are created for all Hey Day Bartenders in order to set them up for success. Ensure mise en place is done for daily service based on expected volume for the day. Ensuring all products, garnishes, dry goods and kegs are properly prepared for daily business.
• Work closely with the Hey Day GM and Assistant GM on proper ordering of all beverage, non-beverage and operational supplies.
• Work with the Hey Day GM and Assistant GM for scheduling all team members in the Hey Day Bar.
• Be available to perform lateral service as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the food hall as directed by the Food Hall GM or immediate supervisor.
• Ensuring all Hey Day Bartenders are following IHP and Alabama Responsible Vendor Certifications prior to service. Check identification to verify legal age requirements of customers.
• During high volume levels, the ability to take beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system and execute all orders
• Monitor and observe guest's experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the beverages and service.
• Always maintain a neat and clean work environment

Working Conditions:

• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, consecutively.
• Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver multiple plates of food & carry bus tubs frequently weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Working with students on a daily basis is required. Ability to organize and plan your service around training and teaching throughout every interaction.
• Team members must have a flexible work schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• A background bartending or mixology in a high volume environment is preferred.
• Upon selection able to complete the Responsible Vendor course for all team members 18 years old and above
• Must have a basic knowledge of bar fundamentals
• Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
