Responsibilities
The Jorgensen Family YMCA is looking for an attentive and responsible team player to fill the position of High School Intramural Basketball Referee to ensure quality standards for YMCA youth sports programs.
- Serve: Maintain a playing environment that is safe and efficient; responding to emergencies when needed, and make responsible judgments with regards to participant and/or program area conduct.
- Care: Responsible for the conduct of the area and individual/game management and provide rule enforcement when needed.
- Lead: Keep accurate records of sports data and set up equipment and/or stores equipment according to YMCA established procedures.
Requirements
Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- At least 16 years old.
- Ability to work weekend hours.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to work in an athletic-oriented atmosphere while maintaining structure and control.
- Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary: Non exempt Part time $10.25-$10.75 hourly
Hours Available: January 9th, 2023 – February 24th, 2023 late afternoons-evenings
