Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience coordinating or administering a program exercising independent judgment and authority as required. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated experience in project management. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with academic leaders, staff, and students. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to track and meet deadlines. Attention to detail. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Education and Experience Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manages the Collegium V Program and other HWHC programs for the University
- Serve as a contact for prospective students and their families
- Supports and advises continuing students as well as recruitment of prospective National Merit Scholars
- Aid Assistant Director with coordinating the Clark Summer Research Program, processing study abroad applications, and recruitment efforts.
- Develops, edits, and updates content for the HW Honors College and its various programs
- Serves as REU for student travel for intellectual competitions as well as study abroad.
- Manages relations with current and former students of the Honor’s program
- Plans and leads meetings with students over various programs provided by the Honors College as well as professional workshops and cultural development
- Serves on the admissions committee for the Collegium V Honors Program, manages the online application process and evaluation of student honors applications
- Serves on the Honors Advisement Committee that develops and shares best practices for supporting students and develops and implements honors program requirements for graduation and completion.
This position requires travel around the DFW area to attend honors night out events and to the airport for travel with students. Applicant should have reliable transportation along with a valid driver’s license.
Remote work for future availability - After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
