Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an exceptional full-time Housekeeperfor our Community in Schererville. We are a Senior Living Community which opened in June 2017 and growing with 85 Independent Living, 39 Assisted Living and 57 Memory Care apartments. We embrace a culture of hospitality in providing excellent service, care and support for our residents. Our residents are the reason we do what we do every day!

Responsible for performing housekeeping functions in the community in order to maintain an attractive, clean and comfortable environment to meet the needs of residents. Also keep our office and common areas in a clean, neat and organized condition as assigned.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays. Previous experience in healthcare, hospitals, skilled nursing, rehab, assisted living and memory care strongly preferred. Experience in successfully working with seniors and the elderly is important.

We are looking for applicants that are self-starters, do not need supervision, and can take care of their business and work in a productive and efficient manner, and always display great customer service skills.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform daily and weekly cleaning functions as directed by Supervisor.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchen areas, clean mirrors, dust furniture and lamps, remove cob webs, clean woodwork, mop/sweep floors and vacuum carpets.
• Vacuum and dust in hallway, remove trash, clean fingerprints as needed, clean common areas and residents apartments as assigned.
• Clean resident apartments when turnover occurs.
• Clean respite rooms, model apartments and guest suite as needed.
• Clean and organize trash and storage areas as directed.
• Launder linens and towels as assigned by Supervisor.
• Complete required cleaning slips and checklists as required.
• Accomplish all work in the order of priority as set by Supervisor.
• Clean offices and common areas including meeting rooms, hallways, reception areas and laundry rooms.
• Maintain all housekeeping equipment and supplies in proper order.
• Complete and submit maintenance slips to address repair issues.

Requirements:

1) Fully Vaccinated for Covid-19

2) Two years or more experience in housekeeping or janitorial positions.

3) Previous experience in healthcare, hospitals, nursing homes, rehab facilities, assisted living or memory care strongly preferred.

4) A strong desire to work with the elderly and provide outstanding care, services and support.

5) Must successfully pass a pre-employment Drug Screen and Criminal Background check.

6) Ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language.
