Job Description:

The Housekeeping Inspector position is responsible for monitoring the duties performed by Housekeeping Room Attendant and Houseman. Inspect all guest rooms & hallways to ensure cleanliness exceeds expectations. Provides exemplary service to all guests.

Summary:

The core job Duties & Responsibilities of the Inspector includes but are not limited to:

· Inspect and train Housekeeping staff

· Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance

· Train new and current employees on the use of chemicals for different surfaces

· Ensure that both carts and supply closets are kept clean, neat, and stocked according to housekeeping guidelines

· Maintain inventory of amenities, chemicals, linen and other items to ensure guest satisfaction

· Report all maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders; use radio communication to report all emergencies

· Guide staff to ensure that guest service and safety is our top priority

· Assist room attendants and house persons in securing all supplies and tools necessary for the completion of their jobs

· Maintain inventory of amenities, chemicals and other supplies to ensure standards are met

The Guest Service Expectations for an Inspector include but are not limited to:

• Provide a proper greeting to the guest at their room, and announce yourself
• Smile and greet the guests as you encounter them throughout your shift
• Keep your assigned areas clean and stocked throughout your shift
• Do not inconvenience the guests during your cleaning routines
• Assist other departments as requested
• Assist the guest whenever and however you can
• Your uniform is clean and properly worn with your name tag

The Desired Qualifications of an Inspector position include:

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace (English)

· At least 2 years of experience in a Inspector level housekeeping position

· Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process

· Require good communication skills, both verbal and written

· Must possess basic computer skills

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and move continuously to inspect rooms on all floors of the hotel

· Ability to exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects

· Ability to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including, weekends, holidays & evenings.
