JLAN Solutions has an opportunity for a HR Assistant in our Human Resources Department to provide administrative support to HR Department in the areas of Recruiting and assistance to the overall HR function. This position is located in Washington, DC.

This position is remote


Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Onboarding new hires, handling compliance paperwork for candidates, and have great follow up skills.
  • Familiarity with the entire recruitment lifecycle
  • Initiate job requisitions, create job descriptions, and job posting
  • Refine sourcing strategies using various recruiting tools and methods (job boards, social media, company database, networking events, technical schools, etc.)
  • Represent the company culture and brand, fully portraying the value of the employment opportunity, ensuring each candidate receives individualized attention, timely communication and follow up
  • Screen qualified applicants against the job description over the phone
  • Present qualified and screened candidates to hiring managers with summary of qualifications
  • Schedule in-person interviews with approved candidates
  • Ensure accurate and on-going management of candidate data using the Applicant Tracking System
  • Review HR mail for (filing or immediate action notices)

Required Skills:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business, or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast pace environment, great with multitasking, great attention to detail and can work in the office.
  • Tech-savvy , Excellent communication skills (e.g. phone skills, interview skills, written skills)
  • Critical-thinking skills, Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must
