The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the ongoing HR-related activities at our Kirksville, MO plant and all US distribution centers. This is done in partnership with WireCo’s corporate HR team regarding talent acquisition, reward programs, administration of leaves, interpreting and administering company policies and practices. The successful candidate will be based at the Kirksville location with periodic travel to US distribution centers.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide local support for key HR processes, including recruitment, pre-employment screening, onboarding, performance management, time-off management, and record-keeping.
- Process hourly payroll through payroll/timekeeping system for the Kirksville plant and distribution centers as well as the accurate and timely processing of time off requests, job changes, separations, hires and organization changes in ADP WorkforceNow, our global HRIS system, while maintaining documentation for audit purposes.
- Serve as point of contact for plant and distribution center employees on HR related matters, including but not limited to the administration of HR policies, benefits, processes, payroll, employee handbook, guidelines, and resources.
- Assist employees with questions related to healthcare, 401(k), life insurance beneficiary forms and personal and medical related leaves, escalating as appropriate.
- Prepare and maintain reports generated from ADP.
- Create and maintain training records and coordinate local training events.
- Assist with local communications on a variety of topics, including benefit plan updates; coordinating and scheduling local Open Enrollment or Educational employee meetings, or biometric screenings.
- Coordinate non-exempt performance reviews; supporting leadership team on execution of the overall process and related administrative and pay actions.
- Assist with coordinating and executing special events and recognition activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and human resources information.
- Assist in Accounts Payable processing through maintaining accurate records related to purchase, and managing goods throughout the purchasing/receiving process, and validating/submitting invoices in a timely fashion
Required
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources or minimum 5 years relevant HR experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills with the willingness and ability to travel to US distribution centers
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work independently, proactively and professionally with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Ability to work in an office setting; extended times of sitting and computer work
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities on a daily basis and possess exceptionally strong skills in attention to detail/accuracy/flexibility
- Ability to motivate, speak, train and interact at different levels of the organization
- Ability to build and establish strong working relationships with employees and leaders.
Preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources and/or payroll
- Experience recruiting and onboarding employees in a manufacturing/production environment
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems and business information (payroll/timekeeping) systems; ADP preferred systems experience
- Ability to build and establish strong working relationships with employees and leaders all levels.

- Personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed safety shoes.
