Ice Cream Maker-

Marianne’s Ice Cream is a Santa Cruz landmark, serving the community for almost 75 years. We serve delicious, handmade, super-premium ice cream at our retail scoop shops, several wholesale locations & restaurants, and at catering events across the Santa Cruz and larger Bay area. We are looking for a full-time ice cream maker to join our growing team.

Hourly Wage: $21- $25/ hour commensurate with experience

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to)

Maintaining the success of Marianne’s Manufacturing Operations by participating in or leading any of the following tasks:

• Measure and prep ingredients
• Make ice cream according to exact recipes
• Accurately record production yields
• Operate ice cream making equipment
• Properly label and package ice cream
• Be on the floor for the full day making, prepping and packaging ice cream

Please note: this list, although extensive, does not define all job tasks and responsibilities. These are the main accountability metrics for how we will measure success in this role. You may be asked to “wear different hats” at times and flexibility and positivity is key.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• Be able to bend/squat and lift 25 pounds from the ground
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Loves ice cream

Education or Experience:

-2+ years Food manufacturing or food production experience preferred

-2+ years Scratch Baking or Line Cook experience required

-Ice Cream Production on batch ice cream machine a plus!
