JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Electrical Journeyman
Accountable To: Electrical Maintenance Department Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment, Building lighting, Electrical substations, DC motors, DC panels, motor and others types of controlling equipment,
- Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code
- Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
- Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs.
- Utilize power tools and test electrical equipment.
- Utilize wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned tasks.
- To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems
- Continuously follow and adhere to the Health and Safety Company Program
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Journeyman License or 2 to 4 years’ experience as industrial electrical Maintenance.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Computer literate
- Able to work well on a team
- Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Great attitude
- Willing to learn.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
