The Role

Current openings available on 2nd Shift, 2pm -10pm and 3rd Shift, 10pm - 6am.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the overall repair, preventative maintenance, and factory maintenance within the site facilities. The industrial maintenance technician will be responsible for aspects related to mechanical operations. Support prompt repair, preventative maintenance schedules, housekeeping and organizational standards. Update the respective departments regarding the status of all operating equipment. Work with vendors, riggers, millwrights etc. on proper installation of equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Safety First is “Safety Always.” Safe Work Practices and Procedures are priority one.
Carry out the Preventative Maintenance program for equipment, per guidelines.
Servicing equipment to include: cold heading, heat treatment furnaces, plating line, high speed sorting equipment, collation, conveyors and motors.
Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner.
Follow approved Lock out/Tag out (LOTO) procedures.
Follow approved reduction of stored energy guidelines.
Provide input and help carry out continuous improvement projects.
Electrically and/or mechanically troubleshoot issues as they occur.
Operate a fork-truck, man-lift, shop fabricating equipment, power hand tools, etc.
Must have shift flexibility/ability to work weekends.
Provide input and help carry out continuous improvement projects.

Other related duties as required.

What we expect of you?

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Industry understanding in, cold heading, pneumatics, hydraulics, servo motors preferred
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Experience with proactive maintenance systems
Must have a minimum of 3 years industrial/manufacturing environment experience
Ability to read and understand electrical prints
Troubleshoot electrical control circuits
Install new or upgrade existing systems and equipment
Documentation of electrical circuit changes
PLC programming
Follow electrical standards
Candidate must have strong electrical experience and knowledge
Computer skills to include (Microsoft Office)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented

EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Related certifications preferred but not required
Electrical certification is preferred but not required

Ability to train/coach junior apprentice(s) on the proper methods of equipment repair and maintenance preferred but not required
