Community Youth Services is recruiting for ITS Informatics Speciality. This position works closely with program management, system leads, and staff (end users) to develop, coordinate, and adopt essential use of our electronic health record (EHR) and other digital solutions through building, training, access/security, and maintenance through exercises and innovation.
Starting pay is $22.07 per hour. (Non-exempt) (Fulltime).

CYS has been a successful and established non-profit in downtown Olympia for over 50 years, providing a full continuum of care to meet the needs of at-risk youth and their families in our community. Our 20+ programs help youth with: housing, placement stabilization, family preservation, foster care, education, job training, employment, independent living skills, delinquent behaviors, shelter, and basic needs. About 4,000 youth – and their families – seek services annually in their transition to become independent, successful adult members of society.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or GED is required. Either an education, direct working experience, or combination of both are essential to be considered for this role. If you’ve completed a two-year degree or more, your education must be in a technology field of study. Your direct working experience must be in a technology/information systems-related role and/or supporting role with a minimum of two consecutive years in that role. In addition to your education and/or working experience, if you have relevant certification(s) to be considered, they should be in the technology field, but is not required.
- Recent and/or extensive system administrator experience within an electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) system and/or web-based data systems are preferred.
- Experience working in a confidential behavioral health and substance use treatment setting is preferred.
- Recent and/or extensive project manager experience within large-scale project(s) where your role communicated directly with stakeholders is preferred.

AGENCY QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ability to pass an extensive background check with no history of conviction or perpetration of child abuse or physical harm to a child or children or an individual aged 18 years and above who is or may be unable to take care of themselves, or is unable to protect themselves against harm or exploitation by reason of age, illness, trauma or disability, or any other reason.
- Professional and personal conduct that maintains a personal and professional background so that criminal history remains free from unlawful conduct. Certain crimes may disqualify employees to have unrestricted access to children or vulnerable populations in accordance with Department of Social Health and Services policy and Washington State law. Professional or personal conduct that causes this clearance to be suspended or denied will result in suspension and/or termination of employment. (Pursuant to RCW 43.43.832, 43.43.832(7), 43.43.834, 43.20A.710 and WAC 388-06.).
- A valid Washington State Driver License with a minimum of five years’ driving experience and a three-year good driving record evidenced on a Washington driver’s abstract. The ability to pass and maintain a clean driving records check at employment and annually. Professional or personal conduct that results in a restricted or denied driving status could result in termination of employment. (Candidates relocating to the area must provide current proof of three-year driving record from current state; and have ten days from date of employment to provide a copy of a Washington Driver’s License and Washington driver’s abstract.)
- Proof of personal auto insurance levels provided on your insurance declaration page. Coverage must be current, and copies provided to HR at renewal. Coverages at or above $100,000 combined single limit is required for positions that require driving and is recommended and preferred for positions that have occasional driving.
- A sensitivity and responsiveness to the cultural differences in the organization's employment and service population.
- Must possess or obtain within 30 days of employment CPR/1st Aid/Bloodborne Pathogen certification. Some positions require CPR before a first shift.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED TASKS:
General Duties
- Assists in building and deploying custom reports.
- Works within information systems to develop, build, test, and troubleshoot issues and needs while keeping implementation and maintenance in line with the overall agency system foundational build.
- Support staff and subject matter expert (SME) interviews and workshops. This could include information gathering, application/document analysis, program-specific and/or role-specific workflows and regulations, demoing systems, and additional evaluations, such as evaluating existing systems and proposing updates and alterations.
- Participate in ITS strategic planning activities annually.
- Responds and works ITS helpdesk support tickets and helpdesk system tasks.
- Manage end user access, profile, and role-based permissions in web-based systems.
- Recommends changes to systems and/or processes to program management when inefficiencies are discovered.
- Working with ITS team, use project management tools and/or software (e.g., change log, project scope, Asana, etc.) to keep on task and complete phases from discovery to closure.
- Maintain the functional training Evolv Manual, including providing support to system(s) trainings for end users, when decided upon.
- Regularly reviews workflows for various business functions within systems and communicates recommendations to program management.
- Provide accessible communication(s) to end users (and more), as needed, during all ITS driven work that impacts end users.
- Assists in key performance indicators (KPIs) set up, use, and presentations within the agency’s web-based, management reporting tool.
- Performs necessary investigation and analysis to resolve system inconsistencies.
- Maintains system operational documentation (e.g., Evolv Manual (SysAdmin section), how-to docs, service lists by program/role, etc.).
- Acquires and maintains available certifications for System Administration within systems managed, if and when available.
- Works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), analysts, and superusers to “bridge” human services’ terminology, including financial and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding set procedures in web-based systems.
- Engages in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion work that is aligned with CYS’ and ITS’ mission and vision.
Professional Development:
- Attends required staff meetings and contribute input on program and agency issues,
- Attend scheduled in-service training for on-going development of professional skills, and
- Meets with supervisor on a monthly basis to review performance and SMART goals.

- Attends relevant trainings and department/ program staff meetings,
