Step into your ideal role as an Intake Specialist. We have an opening at our Westland office for our Mental Health/SUD team.
What You Will Be Doing:
In this role you will be the first initial contact between the consumer and the agency. AS an Intake Specialist, you will speak directly with the person and their families to determine what services might be needed and then guide them to the right area. Some of the duties for the Intake Specialist includes but are not limited to:
- Conduct intakes and submit recommendations for suggested treatment.
- Keep records organized.
- Complete biopsychosocial.
- Screen for mental health and substance disorders.
- Complete locus assessments.
- Assess individuals in the community.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking a qualified individual that is very detail-orientated, with excellent communication skills. The incumbent will:
- Work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and time.
- Knowledgeable of social resources available to consumers.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics.
- Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet navigation at a high level.·
- Flexibility required.
CREDENTIALS
Required:
- Limited License Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or License Master Social Worker (LMSW).
- A valid Michigan Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
