Position Description

Position Title:


Associate Specialist – Field Inventory


Position Overview:


This position works directly with our sales team to ensure that products deployed to Territory Managers and consignment locations are reviewed, managed, and rightsized according to corporate guidelines, stock control policies and product expiry timelines.

This position focuses on:

1) Review and approval of outbound stock requests.

2) Territory Manager stock control.

3) Consignment stock rightsizing - additions and removals of SKUs or units based upon performance.

4) Communicates with Commercial Operations Regional Specialists regarding expired consignment product replacement requests.

5) Communicates with the Commercial Operations B2B team to ensure required SKU and par level changes to existing consignment agreements are documented in consignment addendums for hospital customers.


Reports to VP Commercial Operations


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • This position requires a collaborative and focused outlook when working with Territory Managers and consignment hospital customers. Must be able to ask questions, provide relevant and helpful feedback and require accountability to corporate policies.


  • This role analyzes account-based performance and expiry metrics for stock usage and facilitates the re-allocation of idle stock to locations where it can be sold prior to expiration.


  • Identifies opportunities for par level increases due to stock usage growth.


  • Ability to use reporting resources to identify and prioritize product SKU or unit targets.


  • Communicates with Territory and Regional Managers to ensure initial consignment levels are appropriate for business requirements.


  • Contacts Territory Managers on a standard schedule to address underperforming consignment customers.


  • Collaborates with Regional Managers to help drive improvement for the stock efficiency of their sales team (Consignment and Account Manager stock).


  • Coordinates product returns to Malvern warehouse and facilitates rep-to-rep stock shipments as needed.


  • Assists with stock discrepancy resolution to facilitate product billings.


Required Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree with 3 or more years of relevant experience.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Inventory management and analytics background.
  • Experience using excel and data management systems like ERP.
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment, manage time efficiently, achieve goals with minimal supervision and effectively interact with other employees, departments, hospital customers and business partners.
  • Strong communication (written and oral), interpersonal. Comfortable picking up the phone to resolve issues or require product returns.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve operational challenges.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced collaborative environment with a strong team of experts.

Must be able to:

  • Ability to carry and lift product inventory of up to 10 lbs.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to multitask in high pressure, changing conditions.


Working Conditions:


This position works in the Corporate Office – we are also open to a Hybrid setting. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Travel is required as needed to corporate-based meetings.
