IT Support Specialist
Position Summary:
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance to internal colleagues throughout the organization. Duties include but are not limited to setup, maintenance, and ongoing support of all information technology software and hardware systems. This includes logging incoming calls and offering help for local workstations and systems for all offices located throughout the organization. This position will work closely with the members of the IT department to support the end users across the enterprise.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for colleagues who need technical assistance
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and quick resolution to issues
  • Escalate unresolved issues to other IT personnel when needed
  • Utilize ticket system to log issues and resolutions
  • Follow-up with colleagues to ensure that issues are fully resolved and not recurring
  • Provide feedback to organization leaders to improve IT systems and support
  • Create and maintain documentation for technology systems and support
  • Suggest ways that technology systems and internal procedures can be improved
  • Ensure that all IT Policies and Procedures are followed and assist IT management in development and maintenance of policies and procedures relating to IT systems
  • Configure/Setup, troubleshoot and support all PCs, printers, and other related IT equipment (including laptops, iPads, Smartphones, Fax Machines, and Scanners)
  • Assist in the maintenance and support of various software applications including upgrades
  • Assist in various aspects of network administration as assigned by IT Management
  • Assist in continued product and solutions growth through new product testing, research and development
Job Skill & Qualifications:
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in a technical support role
  • Hands-on experience with diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues
  • Must have technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analysis skills
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, exercising discretion and independent judgment
