Description:JOB OVERVIEW:
The IT Specialist will provide technical assistance on Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment. They will also provide hardware, application and clinical software support, and basic network technical assistance. The position will support all of The Orthopaedic Institute locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting new and existing Microsoft client workstations (Windows 7 to Windows 10).
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting clinical applications.
  • Assist with internal help desk support.
  • Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting new and existing Microsoft Windows Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Basic network troubleshooting.
  • Work with a highly skilled management and network team to design effective and efficient solutions to complex IT problems.
  • Participate in other related duties as required.
  • Some off hour and weekend work, as well as travel to any of our locations as needed.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE:

  • Bachelor’s or similar Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent industry certifications
  • Proven ability to offer high level desktop support in an enterprise environment

EXPERIENCE:
Previous desktop support experience required.
SKILLS:

  • Basic networking concepts and protocols
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows in a business environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multi-task, manage details and organize efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven ability to offer high level desktop support in an enterprise environment

  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-40 pounds.
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding).
  • Travel may be required to existing or new TOI locations.
