Job Title: Event Janitor/Custodial

Operations Reports To: Janitorial Supervisor or Site Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This is a full-time position, M-Fr from 4:00pm -12:30pam, at Hertz Arena in Estero, FL.

Pay: $16.00/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

The Arena Event Cleaner is responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area after the event. Including suites, food court areas, walkways, restrooms, stadium/arena seating areas and waste receptacles at sporting and concert events.

Essential Functions

• Cleans and maintains Arena building/facility. Performs cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, restrooms, walkways, and trash collection.
• Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks/shifts that are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sweeps guest auditorium seating area
• Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment.
• Cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas, suites, and lounges.
• Cleans, services, and maintain necessary supplies for assigned restrooms.
• Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners with sponges and squeegees.
• Responsible for event setup or breakdown in preparation for various event functions held at the facility.
• Must keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Janitorial Experience

Education and/or Experience:

High school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
