BHJ USA, LLC. is a leading supplier of fresh/frozen meat blends to both the wet and dry pet food industries. We are seeking a motivated individual to perform a variety of tasks. This position is responsible to oversee, coordinate and execute installation, repairs, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on, including but not limited to, indoor lighting systems, electrical systems and apparatus, Main Power Distribution Systems and Panel Boards, outdoor facility lighting, construction projects, and HVAC systems. Respond to emergency power failures and emergency back-up systems. Monitor and test various electrical systems. Coordinate inspections for contractor performed work in renovations and new construction projects.

• Services equipment by, testing, troubleshooting, using volt meters to determine specific problems. Repairs the process equipment, its sub-systems, and all ancillary processes /or equipment related to the operation of the plant floor.
• Plans and performs work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and principals of wiring, specifications, and national electrical codes.
• Reads, understands and uses drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals in the service of equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electrical PM’s as assigned.
• Documents and maintains technical data to include calibrations performed, programs backed up, prints in panel, and other required paper work associated with proper maintenance and record keeping.
• Drafts up preventative maintenance measures.
• Uses the work order system to document repairs in detail, assigning parts used to specific machines and insuring equipment history is maintained.
• Maintains and installs communication cables, power distribution, and wiring required for equipment as well as computer systems.
• Sources or fabricates replacement electrical components
• Guides other apprentices or journeyman electricians
• Obtains required permits, equipment, tools for projects
• Acts as liaison for clients, vendors, and other electricians
• Trains and certifies others in NFPA 70E regulations
• Designs, Builds, and installs control panels
• In consultation with Plant Manager, responsible for ensuring plant operates in compliance with all laws and regulations
• Adheres to all safety guidelines and wearing of all required safety gear (PPE)
• Adheres, supports, and enforces all company policies and procedures
• Adheres to attendance guidelines of the company.

One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. At least (3) years strong industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment. Must have a valid driver's license and possess the following skills:

• Microsoft Office

• Ability to communicate with people across all organizational levels
• Ability to work as a part of a team and treat coworkers with respect
• Must have or be willing to gain NFPA 70E Certification
