Job Description

We’re hiring Journeyman Electricians to install solar arrays on both residential and commercial buildings. If hired, you will be working with our other experienced solar technicians, and apprentice electricians who will gain experience under your leadership. You will travel to installation locations in our company provided vehicle and perform the necessary job tasks safely and successfully. Your responsibilities and duties will include:

• Ability to install solar panel systems on residential and commercial projects.
• Install electrical systems that interconnect client’s solar array to the power grid.
• Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
• Ability to diagnose and creatively solve problems.
• Mount conduit, disconnects, meter sockets, combiner panels, and various other pieces of equipment.
• Test and commission solar arrays.
• Perform quality control measures.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Adhere to all safety requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

Since you will be on many jobsites, you will be the face of the company to our clients. You must be clean, responsible, articulate, and professional in your dealings with your team and our clients.

This is not temporary or seasonal work. We are looking for responsible, long-term, career-minded individuals to join our team.

Required Skills:

• You must have a current Electrician’s License (journeyman/ master or prepared to test for journeyman license)
• 3+ years of electrical experience
• Ability to work in all types of weather, be able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops
• Comfortable handling power tools like drills, band saws, and other tools of the trade
• Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints
• Valid MN driver’s license with a clean DMV Record
• Experience in the solar industry is nice, but not required
