The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Junior Engineer to work on our Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) contract in Kekaha, HI.

The Junior Engineer provides a variety of engineering services for planning and design of improvements to facilities at PMRF Barking Sands, Kauai.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Specific assignment and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following areas:

• Designs and develop plans for improvements to facilities.
• Interfaces with Government counterparts and company operating personnel on facilities requirements, design, and development considerations.
• Prepares and monitors installation design plans and work orders improvements to facilities.
• Researches and prepares cost estimates, specifications and standards, and procurement packages for new or modified facilities.
• Monitors new installations and participates with installation quality assurance inspections and site acceptance tests.
• Coordinates with other engineers and planner/estimators to develop multi-discipline design projects.
• Prepares and submit reports including engineering analysis and investigative studies as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 1-year experience in one or more of the engineering areas is required.
• Experience should include engineering design, estimating, materials takeoff, or construction management. RS Mean’s experience desirable.
• Must be proficient in the use of personal computers using spreadsheets and Auto CAD applications.

• Must possess the following PC Skills: Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

• High School or equivalent
• 2 Year Technical School
• A.S. Degree
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical or related engineering.

CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Secret security clearance is required (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment, and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
