Position Summary: The Lab Administrator/Technician is responsible for various administrative and testing tasks within a laboratory. The role leverages a broad range of skills and responsibilities requiring a high degree of professionalism and technical knowledge.
· Basic laboratory testing, sample prep, peel adhesion and flammability etc.
- Writing test reports.
- Maintain Plex annual supplier certification process.
- Maintain specifications in Plex.
- Create and maintain material technical data sheets.
- Maintaining general office files, keys, and passwords
- Purchasing and maintaining office supplies.
· Order all lab supplies, ie: plaques, solvents, etc
· Quoting, contracting and coordinating 3rd party lab testing.
· Shipping
· Coordinating machine and building maintenance.
· Carrying out clerical duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, preparing documents, memos, mail, and presentations.
· Contact for vendors / contractors when any type of service is needed
· Mass Emails for location communication and signage info
· Maintain laboratory 5S.
· Monthly Reports – Lab Projects
· R&D project tracking
· Conflict of Minerals annual supplier due diligence.
· Perform other relevant duties when needed.
Skills and Experience
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and interested working within a dynamic organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Preferred degree in technical discipline.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptionally organized with an attention to detail
- The ability to shift focus and priorities when necessary
- Ability to work well with all levels within the organization including management, outside clients, customers, and vendors
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
