Position Summary:

As a Lab Support Technician you would support day to day activities in the cell culture team for LeadHunter Services group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

LeadHunter Services, Eurofins Discovery Services, is a high throughput lab, with a focus on cell-based assays. We offer an excellent range of biopharma services with exceptional turnaround times. This position would be supporting daily lab operation activities to meet the requirements of projects. Duties include, but not limited to:

• Cell plate generation using automated liquid handlers
• Plate prep for seeding including Barcode labelling
• Aseptic techniques, including sterile reagent preparation
• Retrieval of frozen cell stocks from LN2 tank for cell culture scientists.
• Organization and maintenance of frozen cell stock libraries in LN2 tank.
• Replacement of Liquid Nitrogen tanks as needed.
• Replenishment of lab supplies in both common supply area & individual benches.
• Perform routine housekeeping including cleaning of equipment.
• Basic lean principles including 5S
• Must be comfortable with biological specimen handling
• Disposes of bio hazardous materials, chemical waste, sharp and other potentially hazardous materials according to regulations
• Work closely and communicate with other lab associates to complete daily activities efficiently
• Ability to read, interpret, and comply with documents such as internal SOPs, operating and maintenance instructions, and company policies
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Attentive to detail
• Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
• Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all times

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

• Enthusiasm to learn how to utilize your life science degree away from the bench
• Detail and goal oriented
• Strong organization skills

Education/Experience (BMQ):

• High School diploma or equivalent required

Additional preferences:

0-1 year experience in a laboratory setting.
