Additional Job Information
Full-time assessment lab specialist position available. This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The goal of this position is to oversee, assist, and support in operation of the assessment lab.
Examples of Essential Job Functions
? Provide assistance to test-takers as needed during various assessments.
? Assist instructors in scheduling testing appointments for students.
? Instruct test-takers in appropriate correct procedures for completion of computerized exams.
? Interpret and explain test results as need to instructional personnel. Administer, proctor, and maintain records of various assessment instruments.
? Maintain test records and score rosters.
? Maintain required test proctor certifications and compliances.
? Have basic understanding of the computer system and have the ability to troubleshoot basic problems.
? Consult with on-site network administrator/technician to resolve personal computer and network related problems.
? Set up available computer systems for testing at both on and off-site test center locations including a mobile lab.
? Perform remote testing under specific vendor rules and guidelines.
? Be prepared to administer paper-based tests and complete the scoring in situations as needed.
? Maintain and track test inventory and prepare purchase requests as needed.
? Provide good customer service and a positive testing environment.
Minimum Training and Experience
? High school diploma or GED; supplemented by a demonstrated ability to perform general office support functions to include basic knowledge of office equipment and standard office procedures; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
? Obtain test proctor certifications (able to obtain after hire).
? Prior assessment lab proctoring experience preferred but not required.
