About the Position:

The Land Acquisition Administrative Assistant is an entry level position, from which we promote individuals who succeed and show initiative. We are looking for the natural born leaders, those who strive for growth and opportunity with the eagerness to learn. This individual will be provided with the training, leadership, and guidance to grow.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate, secure and organize land acquisition leads
  • Receive and respond to all new leads from outside sources
  • Perform title and municipal research and initial inquiry for potential land leads
  • Provide initial meetings with sellers and/or their representatives
  • Provide all pertinent property description information, seller demands, terms, conditions, and contact information to management
  • Prepare letters of intent, contracts and negotiate purchase contracts with sellers
  • Maintain close relationships with land developers, brokers, and landowners.
  • Analyze the financial aspects of each development opportunity
  • Communicate regularly with city officials
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • May require daily travel to drive to potential land sites and locations
  • Create and maintain database of potential land opportunities
  • Send marketing information to potential land sellers
  • Use online appraisal district maps and municipal GIS maps to gather information on specific sites or areas. Information will include utilities, zoning, topography/flood zone, entitlement status, and other development-related information to assess each site.
  • Prepare detailed land packages with relevant support data and exhibits for submittal to the Director of Operations to seek approval of real estate transactions.
  • Assist Project Manager with land/lot specific information for site and pre-construction requirements

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize as needed
  • Self‐motivated professional with a strong work ethic and the ability to establish relationships and interact with executives, co‐workers, and customers with ease.
  • Individual must be highly ethical, dependable, trustworthy, and diligent.
  • Must enjoy working in fast paced, always changing environment.
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently as well as part of a team.
