Weed Man, the largest franchised lawn care company in North America and the #1 franchise in lawn care, is looking for Lawn Care Technician with chemical fertilization or pesticide industry experience to work with our commercial/residential customers. We are seeking an individual who is passionately interested in the field and providing accurate lawn analyses in your route, while offering amazing customer service at all times.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for performing applications to turf, tree, and shrubs.
- Mixing and applying turf and tree/shrub care products, read material labels.
- Applying fertilizers and insecticides to turf and ornamental plants according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Driving company vehicle to customer location
- Interacting with customers and ensuring top-of-the-line service
- Completing lawn analyses and making service recommendations
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience with chemical or spray applications
- Ability to work fast paced and produce quality results.
- Knowledge and staying up to date of MSDS and chemical uses.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Identify different pest issues and apply applicable chemicals.
- Proven time management
- Must be able to effectively work independently.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Willing to become certified to apply pesticides.
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds, 8-10 hours per day.
- Able and willing to work in various weather conditions for long periods of time.
- Professional appearance
- Ability to work in a results-oriented environment.
- Previous sales or industry experience is an asset but is not required.
